Arbeidene mine består av forsøk på å registrere usynlige og uhåndgripelige markedsprosesser gjennom en kamerabasert “følg pengene”-tilnærming. Teknikker knyttet til dokumentartradisjonen innenfor fotografifaget er kombinert med mer eksperimenterende fremstillinger. Videoarbeid, trykk og publikasjonsproduksjon (bøker og ziner) står sentralt i min praksis .
Sjangeren her er ‘cli-fi-fi’ – eller Climate Finance Fiction, en sjanger jeg utvikler sammen med makker Dayna Casey . Cli-fi-fi er beslektet med sci-fi og cli-fi, men mens disse vanligvis viser oppdiktede og futuristiske scenarioer, dokumenterer cli-fi-fi de reelle, bisarre og ofte voldelige møtene mellom markedskrefter og klimaendringer.
Samarbeid står sentralt i alle prosjektene mine, og jeg jobber tett med diverse individer og institusjoner, fra forskere, andre kunstnere og aktivister til finanspressen. Sammen med Casey er jeg i ferd med å gi ut boken Collapsed Mythologies – a Geofinancial Atlas (Spector Books). Nylig har vi to produsert video-essayet Flora: ‘Hedging’ . Sammen med landrettighetsforkjemper Elias Kimaiyo (KE) har jeg siden 2020 utarbeidet prosjektet Footprints in the Valley, som tar for seg klimakvotemarkeder og de voldelige konsekvensene av nyliberalistisk naturvern.
Nylig har prosjektene mine blitt stilt ut ved blant annet Oslo Kunstforening, RADIUS Centre for Art and Ecology (NL), Wereldmuseum Amsterdam (NL) og KunstHaus Wien (AUST).
