My recent practice is based on writing and weaving. Images and words are inspired by the struggle for everyday life and artistic production, referencing the history of labor, and the craft tradition. Turning limitations and obstacles into resources, I explore the blurred boundaries between the private and the public, the visible and the invisible, the serious and the humorous, the urge to engage and the need to reflect and contemplate. Combining generosity and opportunism is a way to think about labor, value, and reciprocity. In an anti-capitalist sense, I search for ways to deconstruct the monumental and the idea of the artist as a male genius.
