I have established a way of working and a body of work that particularly looks at the effects of language and the capture of the writing system. I base myself on poor, commercial and found materials. Since I developed works for Kunsthall Stavanger over their archive in 2015, I have worked with institutional archives on several occasions. This triggered an investigative form of work which later branched out into a method that interweaves written and visual materials. Rather than using the default in the order we live under – the individual, I look to the ‘divid’, and let it stand for a dismembered kind of negative subject that looks for cracks to worry in. I’m currently learning more about the work of Italian artist Anne-Marie Sauzeau-Boetti).
I’m also part of the artist group infopsin, with Ayat Tuleubek, Ignas Krunglevicius og Istvan Virag.
Sculpture, sound, collage, writing
In my studio
you’ll see works that are in transition, they will be exhibited at Hamar kunstforening later this year.
Planned projects and exhibitions
In 2024 I have a solo exhibition at Hamar Art Association. With the artist group infopsin, we are working towards an independent video installation and processing of digital ephemera as sculptural forms beyond 2025. After the generational change in Podium, I have more time to develop work in the studio. I aim to publish my collected notations (2012-2022) for performance works with visual material and introductory essays in autumn 2026.
