Through my work, I explore the field that lies between documentation, staging and storytelling. It can be themes relating to time, memory and identity or interpersonal relationships. I work across different media, but the camera-based has always been at the center as a tool for sorting, arranging and putting together different narratives. My work includes film/video, sculpture, installation, text and the artist’s book. For the past two years, I have collaborated with Atle Hynne on exhibition projects at Heimdal and Sandefjord Art Association. The direction of the exhibitions became the relationship and references we both have to the three-dimensional and the interaction between what touches our individual starting points within the camera-based and painting. We worked in large and small formats and played our way through formal, spatial and conceptual issues.

The photographs depict various plants picked in the meadow and on the hillside of the mountain farm Lie, situated on the far end of the lake Møsvatn, 900 meters above sea level. The texts are fragments of a larger story, memories from Kramer’s past, reactivated in the final months of her mother’s life and during the vigil at her deathbed.
