I am a Somali-Norwegian photographer based in Oslo, using photography to explore identity, heritage, and the nuances of everyday life. My work focuses on the African diaspora, capturing moments that feel both intimate and universal. Influenced by nostalgia and a multicultural perspective, I document people and places with an emphasis on authenticity and human connection.

Working primarily in portraiture and documentary photography, I am drawn to raw, unfiltered moments that reveal personal and collective histories. Whether through street encounters or deeper collaborations, my process is rooted in engagement, building trust and allowing stories to unfold naturally in front of my lens. Through my photography, I seek to preserve personal histories, highlight resilience, and expand narratives of culture and belonging.
