Sanna (b. 1999) makes videos, texts and instructions inspired by the everyday, commons, and common things. She aims to use the spaces of the quotidian as a site of discovery, as they so often are ignored.

Lately the tram has become an exciting site for discovery, first and foremost because the old trams are about to disappear from the city. Sanna has been working on different texts related to the tram and the city it is situated in.

Video text and instructions

The publication is a synopsis of what is happening outside of the window on the tram on the 11-line in Oslo. The name comes from the sign that is inside of the old SL79 trams, and alludes to the traveller being part of an audience.

The exhibition is about waiting on the tram- I wanted to make a tram stop inside of an exhibition space.

I waked in someones footsteps in the snow to try and figure out how far I could get.
Not very far it proved, maybe about 50 meteres, and it got increasingly more difficult as I continued on. The observations were written down and shared on instagram (@sa.snart)

In my studio

Lately I’ve bee eagerly making books, and will attempt to do so during this sunday.

Planned projects and exhibitions

Soloexhibition at KHio as an extension of master project in February. I will be exhibiting a video of the tramproject I have been working on.

In april/May, I will be working with an artist group I am part of in Leeds. We will be working with a set of instructions in relation to paintings.

Group exhibition, as a final exhibition from my Master class in June at Kunstnernes Hus.
