I work with text, video, and performance. I’m interested in issues related to identity, exploring how the personal intersects with the public, and examining how digital spaces impact the self. As a queer and non-white Norwegian, I draw on my personal experiences of marginalization and desire as a starting point in my art.
In my performances, I stage myself in vulnerable situations to achieve collective intimacy. My practice is driven by the emotional and fueled by ambivalent feelings. Humor serves as a survival strategy in my works. The art space is used as an arena for self-examination and poetic reflection.
