The forest is the machinery in my artistic practice. Periodically I spend a lot of time in the forest as part of my day to day practice; I observe, touch, photograph and make on-site monoprints and drawings. I work with the forest due to my concerns, as well as my love for the woods.
I am concerned with the administration of our woods, conservation, protection, diversity and co-exsistance. I paint, draw, do silkscreens, woodcuts, drypoints and monoprints, as well as work with sound.
On top of being conserned for our endangered woods I’m also interested in the surfaces of the forest, it’s textures and tactility.
The Old forest is almost dead, long live the Old forest!

In my studio
I am currently working on a self-developed method involving pushing oil pastels through the mesh of a silkscreen frame, trying to make surfaces resembeling earth, bark, mould, fungus, algea and moss. Come take a look!
