Ane Barstad Solvang works with painting, literature, drawing and installation. Her artistic practice centres around the modern and traditional female role, based on a personal, feministic diaristic practice. With a background in the book format, and in comics, she has recently investigated how to open up the book in the gallery space, to experiment with a self reflexive image of the woman in nature, through sculptural and immersive paintings.
