My work explores how the tools and materials in a weaving practice affect and change the body, and how the body adapts to these in turn. I make woven work, and sometimes performative weaving constructions, that examine how the boundaries between body, textiles, tools and color pigments flow into each other. Weaving is arguably a form of organic growth, and a life-sustaining extension and evolution of the body, without which we would never have been able to survive. Our mutual dependence with the textile is the ground out of which I develop my artistic projects.
