Joakim Blattmann’s artistic practice includes sculptural sound installations, audiovisual works, compositions and concerts. He is interested in how sound creates connections between people and their environment, often working with sound environments that are difficult to access for human hearing. Acoustic ecology, field recordings and the inherent acoustic properties of objects are recurring themes.
Blattmann earned his MFA from the Art Academy in Trondheim and lives and works in Oslo.
