Anna Talbot
(She/her)
Address: Kirkeristen, Dronningens gate 27, 0154 Oslo
Floor: 1
The studio is open Sunday 28 April from 12-17
My jewellery is inspired by fairy tales, nursery rhymes, songs and stories. I want to tell a story through characters, colours and materials. I make big, three dimensional jewellery in coloured aluminium, brass and silver. I work in layers to build up a three dimensional piece. Some of my pieces are quite large, but the materials I use still means that they are light enough to be worn. The size makes you aware of wearing the pieces at all times, they demand both space and attention. My jewellery can be hung on a wall or worn on a body. The piece becomes a picture you can carry with you.
Jewellery Artist
In my studio
In my studio you will have the opportunity to observe how I create my jewellery by hand – how I go from a flat sheet of aluminium to a finished and painted piece of art. You can see how I use different techniques, processes and tools to create a finished three-dimensional piece of art in metal. I am part of the artists at Kirkeristen in the center of Oslo and here you can get a unique opportunity to see how different artists work with craft techniques.
Planned projects and exhibitions
The spring of 2024 I will be part of the prestigious exhibition ‘Schmuck’ in Munich, Germany. I will also show some of my work in the touring exhibition ‘(Un)avowable Secrets’ being shown in amongst other places Germany and Spain. During the summer of 2024 I’ll show my work at Galleri Fjordheim. I am also part of exhibitions organised by CoPlusLab in Istanbul and with Froots Gallery in different locations in China.
