27—28 April

Kim Laybourn

(He/him)
Address: Oslo Open, Rådhusgata 19, 0158 Oslo
Floor: 1.
The studio is open Sunday 28 April from 12-17

In my practice, I deal with the transcendence of our conceptions of reality, and its inherent or adopted possibilities and limitations. Including the constructions and concepts that are taken for granted, as definitive terms. I work with the human-centric worldview, the concept of nature and the Western view of nature, as well as the tension between the authentic and the unnatural. I use this in my work with sculpture, video and sound, music, text, drawing and installation, to form notions of a heightened reality, which examines the human position, by virtue of everything we touch, which surrounds and shapes us.
