Oslo Open celebrates 25 years of open studios
Mark your calendars!
The artists of Oslo welcome you back to their studios all over the city 26-27 April 2025, and this year it is our 25 years anniversary.
Welcome to the Anniversary party Friday 25 April at 8 PM at Kunstnernes Hus

Anniversary Party
Back in 2000, 275 artists opened the doors to their studios for the first Oslo Open. The aim was to showcase art outside the traditional venues – and the rest is history. This year, we’re celebrating 25 years of open studios with an award ceremony, art and music! Oslo Open’s board will announce this year’s honorary award recipient. The award is given annually to someone who has made an exceptional contribution to improving artists’ working conditions.
Expect an experience for all the senses: music from RnB artist Natnael, recently nominated for a Spellemann music award; an installation by artist Robel Temesgen; and an edible sculpture by artist Javon Bennett – everyone will get a taste. The programme is curated by Nesteren Hasani and organised in collaboration with ØST KUNST.
Free entry! Age limit: 20+

About ØST KUNST
ØST KUNST is an arts organiser – from Groruddalen, for Oslo. They work across art, music and dance, creating exhibitions, workshops and festivals. Oslo Open and ØST KUNST collaborate on activities for children, young people and adults, with a shared goal: to make it possible for everyone to create and experience art. Together, we want to lower the threshold for entering the art world – for future art students, artists and audiences alike. ØST KUNST has been our annual partner since 2023.
