I recognize myself as an interdisciplinary, idea/thought-based, politicly and socially engaged artist. My main interest is the perception of identity in cultural conditioning as a universal process for every society to sustain a set of values, habits, and manners. My works show the process of getting to the critical point of irrelevance and why an individual cannot integrate emotions and outside perceptions of themselves. Usually, the goal is to represent one version of a person/structure and be convincing that you are this or that and nothing in between. That common dichotomy eliminates everything beyond what is known.
Due to my experience as non-binary emigrant from post-Soviet, catholic country artist, I represent many intersections of power, identity and gender. The struggle of self-representation is interesting for me, and I want to mark and explore a visual presence of how an independent subject can manifest and recognize itself.
