Room number: 302
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17

Agnes Lindvall artistic practice incorporates metalworking techniques, including smithing, hydroforming, and enameling. She explores themes of mass consumerism, featuring ugly/cute sea creatures, and combines elements of the grotesque and the adorable.

She examines the boundaries between high and low culture, creating pieces that evoke a sense of disconcerting familiarity. These works, with their exaggerated sentimental or commercialized aesthetics, explore the interplay between attraction and repulsion. Lindvall investigates the strange and eerie nature of these objects, fostering dialogue around the tensions between beauty, value, and meaning in a world shaped by mass consumption.
