Robert Carter is an artist and writer from Manchester living in Oslo. He graduated from the Bergen Art Academy in 2020 with his first short film ‘Notes on Dad’. His current film project ‘Notes on Bags’ is a collaboration with Katrina Cobain – artist and founder of the Plastic Bag Museum in Glasgow. Previous to his work in documentary, Carter spent his formative years editing the group journal’ kuboaa’ and collaborated on the artist-led TV show ‘Auto-Italia LIVE’ from 2010-2012 in London. From 2014-16 he co-directed ‘The Exhibition Centre for the Life and Use of Books’ in Manchester.

In my studio

Primarily a presentation of text and photographic material from my ongoing ‘Notes on Bags’ video project – a documentary centred around the Plastic Bag Museum in Glasgow.
