I have always been concerned with the feelings a figure evokes in me, its ability to communicate, what it radiates and symbolizes. I’m interested in the figure as a storyteller and how to project emotions into it. In my works I always try to combine the funny and humorous, with the sad and thoughtful; because that’s how life is. The figure has followed me throughout my artistry, and has moved between the perfect and polished, to the vulgar and ugly. From the very small formats, to the monumental.
