Katharina Barbosa Blad
(She/her)
Address: Bjørka , Schweigaards gate 34D, 0191 Oslo
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17
Katharina Barbosa Blad combines various artistic approaches, characterized by a duality between a conceptual, intellectual style and a feminist, political dimension with impressionistic elements. Her background from both Belgium and Colombia provides her with a unique perspective and rich inspiration.
Her work spans multiple media, including installation, sound, photography, and video, expressing both personal and societal themes. The conceptual aspect promotes intellectual reflection, while the feminist dimension offers emotional resonance related to social injustices and identity.
KBB’s projects develop organically, with a deep connection to both the personal and the collective. Her art serves as a powerful tool for navigating between personal experiences and social issues, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own role in the world.
Photo, video, sound and installation.
