CV

Anna Clawson (b. Donaghadee, N.IRE) is an Irish artist living and working in Oslo, Norway. She graduated with an MFA in Fine Art from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2023 and is an alumni of the School of the Damned (2017), an autonomous free art school in the UK.

She is a co-founder of Snails (2024-) – a new studio collective/project space in central Oslo, and a co-founder of Oslo Crit Klubb (2023-) – a peer critique/support group working from artist studios in the city.

Previous activities include exhibitions at Melk, Oslo, No; Atelier Nord, Oslo, NO; Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo, NO; Arnolfini, Bristol, UK; CCA Derry~Londonderry, N.IRE, Tenderpixel, London, UK; Glasgow International, Scotland, UK ; Ormston House, Limerick, IRE ; Malonioji 6, Vilnius, LT; CRATE , Margate, UK.

Previous residencies include RUPERT , Vilnius, LT; Studio Das Weisse Haus, Vienna, AU; Nida art colony, LT; Spike Island, Bristol, UK; KARST , Plymouth, UK.

Recent publications include: Dataton Dialogues a collaboration with Tris Vonna Michell, Henrik Follesø Egeland and Silje Iversen Kristiansen, launched at Vermillion Sands, Copenhagen. Shortsighted shown with Oslo Crit Klubb at B*stard Art Bookfair in Lillehammer, Bergen Art Bookfair and Athens Art Bookfair.
