Welcome to the Tammorama
I’m Tammo Rist, an artist whose journey has taken me from the bustling streets of Berlin to the serene landscapes of Oslo. After completing my education at Universität der Künste Berlin and Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, I set my sights on Norway’s capital.
Since 2006, Oslo has been my home, and it’s here that I’ve immersed myself in it’s vibrant art scene. While my roots lie in traditional forms of expression, my practice has evolved over the years to encompass digital media, photography, graphics, light objects, painting, and performance.
At the core of my work is a fascination with deconstructing the image, blurring the lines between different artistic categories to create pieces that defy easy classification. My creations are deeply personal, drawing inspiration from my own experiences and surroundings. Each piece tells a story, capturing moments in time and space that have left a lasting impression on my psyche.
My artistic process is guided by intuition rather than rigid rules or structures. I embrace spontaneity, allowing the eye and the moment to dictate the direction of my work. As a result, many of my pieces arise organically, infused with a sense of raw authenticity that defies perfection.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in numerous national and international exhibitions and projects, garnering acclaim for my innovative approach and thought-provoking concepts. My work challenges viewers to see the world through a different lens, inviting them to explore the complexities of the human experience in all its beauty and imperfection. Join me on this journey of exploration and discovery as we navigate the boundless possibilities of art together.
