26—27 April

Eigil Nordstrøm

(He/him)
Address: Startblokka, Østre Aker vei 90, 0596 Oslo
Floor: 2
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17

In my practice I work with painting, printmaking, photography and installation to explore my relationship to nature. The driving force is a process-based exploration of material properties, such as the behaviour of paint as it is dragged, rolled or sprayed over a variety of textiles, and an uncertainty and fragility is created in the resulting surface. This is then brought back into pictorial space through cropping, overlaying and photographic collage. Works alternate between being presented on the wall or the floor, between 2D and 3D, playing with the conventions of painting and the tension between image and object.
