26—27 April

Annalise Wimmer

(She/her)
Address: Romsås senter 1, Romsås senter 1, 0970 Oslo
Floor: 3
Room number: 348
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17

With a practice rooted in sculpture, Annalise is interested in object dis- and re-enchantment – the material myth-making of things through both a contemporary and historical lens. Alluding to bodily and socio-economic anxieties and imaginaries, Annalise likes to play with physical and psychological manifestations that imbue a conflicting sense of optimism and apprehension. As such, she avoids reworking materials into stringent structures, but relies on fragility and the suffusion of the ordinary with the fantastical as tools to pick away at assurances related to objects or systems.
