I am a humanist, deeply intrigued by the inner workings of the human being—exploring it from anatomical, psychological, and social perspectives. My sculptural work is rooted in the human anatomical structure, using its complexity as a language to express the tensions that shape our existence. These tensions reveal themselves both physically and psychologically, reflecting our struggles and resilience as individuals and as human beings.

In my sculptures, voids play a crucial role as elements of contrast, creating dialogues between presence and absence. I push materials to their limits, working with a profound understanding of their techniques and nature. I believe that only through love and a fearless approach can we genuinely connect with the human essence and convey it through art.

Wood carving, concrete modeling, and steel construction.

In my studio

I work in the basement of an old factory, which is Kroloftet, a coworking space. This place is truly interesting, both for its history and for the present, where more than 150 creatives, including artists, designers, illustrators, and others, share the space in an atmosphere filled with camaraderie. It truly is a hidden gem in Oslo.
