26—27 April

Hanne Øverland

(She/her)
Address: Frysja Kunstnersenter, Kjelsåsveien 145, 0491 Oslo
Floor: 2 etasje bygg 8
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17

I primarily work with textile materials and techniques such as embroidery, knotting, knitting, and weaving, combined with various painterly printing methods. My works range in expression from vibrant and colorful designs to monochrome minimalism.

Currently, I am working on an exhibition project called Color Chart of Endangered Species, which references birds and butterflies on the Norwegian Red List by Artsdatabanken. Colors in relation to nature are the core of my artistic practice. Nature and colors, as both physical experiences and/or thematic starting points, provide an opportunity for aesthetic and political reflection.
