Eli Maria Lundgaards (b.1989, Trondheim) works may be described as a series of associations which challenge the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, the living and the nonliving, the inner mental sphere and the outer common reality. Lundgaard looks at how language, histories, myths, and memories shape our perception of reality, and through video, sculpture and text, she searches for the unstable and the fluctuating – that which may neither be confirmed nor dismissed, but which invite to imagination and poetry.
