Karin M. Valum

(She/her)
Address: Øvre Prinsdals vei 18 B, 1266 Oslo
Floor: 1
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17

I am interested in what disappears, what we leave behind and what remains; memories and imprints of what was. Remains, ruins and traces of people, civilisations and nature.
I explore drawings by making traces with different tools. I work with color, line, shades of gray, light, and in mono prints with relief .
Ecology and existential questions interests me, I am searching for different ways to express my experiences and what I see behind the surface.

Works on paper, drawings, monoprints, paintings.

I want to show how I create different kinds of works on paper. In mono prints I use various nets and cardboards that I find and I can demonstrate how I use this to make relieff in mono prints, with an old printing press in my studio.
