I work mostly on paper: I make drawings with pencil, ink and charcoal, make paintings with gouache and oil-pastels, print woodcuts both in black and white and in colours. Through the years I have made large wall objects based on my woodcuts, both for indoor and outdoor use.
Language is fun and important. To add a title to a picture changes a lot. In a picture book you can share experiences and personalities both in text and pictures.

In my studio
My atelier is in a basement at Bislett. The house was built by the first female Supreme Court Lawyer in Norway. She built it because in those days women where not aloud to buy a home. But to buy stocks was allowed. In this house stocks still is a ticket to “A Room of One’s Own”. Outside my windows, birds, cats and dogs come to visit. Inside I have a large printing press and on my walls: lots of print and drawings.
Planned projects and exhibitions
I recently delivered prints to a public commission. Some unprinted woodcuts appeared when I searched in my drawers. They will be printed at last. My sleeping book-projects needs to be taken care of. One of them I intend to produce and publish myself. Two others will be presented to established publishers. And I am interested in – and will apply for- exhibitions contracts and public commissions.
