My artistic process is dedicated to exploring the possibilities of conceptual abstraction in which the textual and cultural aspects of photography provide the conditions for experiments in photographic deconstruction. While using historical, personal, psychological, and spiritual optics my visual research highlights the relationship between photography and concepts of memory, control, ideology, and perception.
My photography works are based on pictorial traditions. The photos represent memories of events in a specific time and space. The works express the belief and conviction that what you see is only a suggestion of reality.
Western Art history associates photography as the representational successor of painting. Growing pains of technological barriers and a fundamental need for a subject made photography the quieter and more restrained son of the Art canon. This Oedipus complex must be addressed.
Lens based artist

In my studio
I am currently working on two artist books summarising a long-duration photographic process. Alongside my photographic work, I developed a unique printing methodology for my practice that imposes conditions of chance and singularity.
This experimental technique allows singularity over the remaking of a specific image over and over again. Each work is a unique and singular creation – like a memory in a state of constant transformation.
