Norwegian artist form Tromsø, within the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway.
Working primarily with sculpture, installation, and site-specific projects.
Currently focusing my research on Land Art (earth art) and process art, looking at natural resource management and how we interact with our natural habitat.
Since 2018, I have created several artworks and projects using a natural stone, Masikvartsitt, which can only be found within the Arctic Circle in Norway, in Kautokeino. The quarry is only operative from May through October, in the winter months it is reindeer territory, and no commercial activity is allowed. This is a very remote, special, and interesting area to work in, and the material is complex, delicate and truly magical.
I am interested in art as a non-commercial holistic practice, exploring and re-thinking what art can be and where it can be found.
