Milan Benza (b. 1988) primarily works with painting, drawing, performance, and sculpture.

In his paintings, myths, art history, and other stories are intertwined in a personal universe where the images communicate with each other. In recent years, Milan has worked in the space between figuration and abstraction.

Milan was educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. There, he worked mainly with drawing and comics. He then followed a master’s program in speculative narration at Erg in Brussels, developed in line with philosophers Isabel Stengers and Donna Haraway’s Ideas.

He has exhibited at, among others, the Autumn Exhibition (2018) and the National Museum (2022), and has participated in several exhibitions both domestically and internationally.

Milan is also a member of the performance group Aapent Saar.
