26—27 April

Ellen Karin Mæhlum

(She/her)
Address: Frysjaveien 35, 0884 Oslo
Floor: 2 Grete Riseng er i samme etasje
The studio is open Saturday 26 April from 12-17

In my art practice, I often work with image series with a theme, format and graphic technique. Common to most of the projects is the focus on nature’s changes and the technical possibilities of printmaking.

After several years of immersion in Arctic icy landscapes, the starting point for the latest series – WOODSCAPES – is my experience of the forest as something rich, vibrant and mythical, but also frightening and vulnerable. Nature opens up a sense of both belonging and alienation. For the past 22 years I have also had ongoing art-research collaborations with various research groups related to climate changes.
