26—27 April

Dåra Dorky

(She/her)
Address: Oslo Sportslager i Mariboesgate, Mariboesgate 11, 0183 Oslo
Floor: 4
The studio is open Sunday 27 April from 12-17

I’m a print- and noisemaker based in Oslo. In my practice she explores glitches and feedback in the
machine, sound, poetry and feminisms.
Printed matter is at the heart of her art practice;
be it sonically imprinting sound onto magnetic tape
or visual prints made by screenprint, woodblock, typesetting, riso, mail-art and xerox,
resulting in tapes and books self-published by her tape-label and imprint Sort Sol.
Exploring the new in the old,
to slow down progress to make room for process

In my studio

My studio is a messy, creative space for painting, sound and bookbinding. I will bind books to draw in (with blank pages) during opening hours, the audience can bring one home for donation price. With possibility to try it out yourself if somebody is very interested. It’s not intended as an official workshop but more as an activity to show how easy and fun simple bookbinding can be.

Planned projects and exhibitions

I’m working on a painting exhibition in Hytta Bar and upcoming New members exhibition for Norske Grafikere. Aswell as an ongoing mail-art project.
