Born in Tabriz, raised in Tehran, and settled in Norway since 1986.
With a background in a family of goldsmiths and a former career in journalism and photography, my practice is rooted in presence, rhythm, and attention to detail.

I work across painting, text, video and performance – exploring how something can emerge, not through explanation, but through breath, resistance, and movement. Each work remains open, allowing the unfinished and the uncertain to take space – without directly commenting on reality, but without turning away.

Planned projects and exhibitions

I’m currently working on a new series of paintings that explore how rhythm, friction and flow can take shape on the surface. The works emerge layer by layer and remain open – more like states than images.

In parallel, I integrate video and text fragments into the space – not as illustrations, but as responsive elements in dialogue with the paintings. This interplay is part of a broader investigation: how something unfinished and bodily can take place, without being explained.

In May 2025, I’ll exhibit at Prosjektrommet in Oslo, with further presentations planned in Valberg and Nittedal later in the year.
