I work with sculpture and installations, and this last year my work has been shown in solo exhibitions at KRAFT in Bergen, Krognoshuset in Lund, and at Hå Gamle Prestegard.
My approach to sculpture is centered around the body, both in the process and in the finished works. The abstract forms, which often resemble instruments or organisms with their own purposes, is activated by the interaction between the viewer, the surroundings and the sculptures itself. I use found materials that carry the history of a site or the materials own origin, as well as the experience of the gathering. Sediments like clay and stone are combined with industrial elements like glass and metal. The materials interact with ideas from science, literature, and mythology—often with an ecological perspective.
The latest sculptures in “Mud Agents” are made out of clay from the salt marshes of the Wadden Sea. In this project, I collaborated with a biologist to explore the physical processes behind how purpose (life) can emerge in a desolate landscape.

In my studio
At my studio, you will be able to see finished works from the “Mud Agents” series, along with a newly published catalog of the project. I will also show how I work with cleaning and processing clay sourced from nature, some sketches behind projects, and work in progress with glass slumping.
