Jeg er utdannet danser og kunstner, og virker i dag med en fot i hvert felt. Siden 2003 har jeg arbeidet med både nasjonale og internasjonale produksjoner, i 2014 søkte jeg meg til Kunstakademiet i Oslo (KHIO) for å utvide mitt visuelle og konseptuelle språk, og gikk i 2016 ut fra Kunstakademiet med master i billedkunst. Interessefelt er bredt, men en fellesnevner for prosjektene er at de undersøker ulike, og mulige, sammenkoblinger mellom det kunstneriske, det politiske og det sosiale for å skape alternative/ andre perspektiver og forestilinger om vår tid, og mulig fremtid. Gjennom bruk av eget eller andres arkivmateriale, samt metoder som intervju, deltagende observasjon, improvisasjon og studier av lokasjon er jeg muligens å forstå som en prosessuell kunstner. Mer enn å fokusere på en type materialitet eller uttrykk, velger jeg hva som oppleves egnet for det enkelte konkrete prosjektet, og undersøker slik hvordan ulike materialiteter kan eksistere sammen i tid og rom som kunstnerisk, sosial og koreografisk praksis.

A Tale On Borders. HD Video 42 min. En film om danseforestillingen Area Y ( Siljeholm/Christophersen) spilt på Grensa mellom Libanon og Israel/Palestina vår 2017. Libanesisk, Palestinsk og Norsk produksjon. Vises på Oslo Kunstforening tom 29 april som en del av utstillingen “Beirut, Beyrut, Beyrouth, Beyrout” kuratert av Marianne Hultman og Ýrr Jónasdóttir med Birta Guðjónsdóttir.

NODES: Det siste måltidet og fremtidsteateret Rosendal (arbeidstitler)Trondheim. Norway. Koreografi, sosial praksis, billedkunst. Støttet av Norsk Kulturråd og Kunstakademiet i Trondheim. Co- produsert av Teaterhuset Avant Garden. Prosjektet skjer over 1 år (2018/2019) medvirkende i prosjektet er flere kunstnere fra billed- og scenekunst og ulike individer og grupper i Trondheim by.

NODES Oslo. Forprosjekt for MiB (Munchmuseet i bevegelse) gjennomføres i 2018. Med intensjon om produksjon 2019. Koreografi, sosial praksis, billedkunst. Støttet av Munchmuseet i bevegelse. Kurator: Natalie O´Donnell.

The Richest man in Gaza. Forestilt landskap. (Arbeidstittel) Separatutstilling. Akershus Kunstsenter. Kurator: Rikke Kommisær. 16.11.18- 23.12.18. Installasjon (lyd, film, skulptur, arkiv). Foreløpig støttet av BKH og Akershus Kunstforening.

Helle Siljeholm is a choreographer, performer and visual artist, based in Oslo. She holds a BA (hons) from London Contemporary Dance School in 2003. In 2016 she graduated with an MA in Visual Arts from the Oslo Academy of Art (KHiO). Her artistic practice involves film, installation, choreography and performance.
