Hanne Friis

Senses, materiality and process is the driving force in Hanne Friis´s works. The main production consists of sculptures and installations in various textile materials. A distinctive stitching technique folds and presses the fabric and transform the material into organic formations and complex structures that generate a sense of change and growth. How we as human are connected to nature driven by both constructive and destructive forces, is a recurring theme.
