Love Terins

My practice consist of large-scale paintings at the intersection of the non-figurative and the figurative and has a thematic focus that explores movement, repetitiveness, bodily and visual experiences through patterns and contrasts of painting.
I view my paintings as gates into a parallel universe where patterns, shapes and contrasts are transformed by each other. By organizing the existing chaos of this universe, I aim to create a logic and a language.
Through large canvases, diffuse motifs and tactile contrasts between material and design, I wish to bring the spectator closer to the edge of this parallel universe. I want to give them a more physical encounter with painting – as if they were standing in front of an open gate.
