Berberg, Fredrik

Sculpture

Fredrik Berberg (b. 1986, Skien) has obtained his master degree from The National Academy of Fine Art in Bergen, and now lives and works in Oslo. His practice emphasizes on sculpture, and investigates the sculptural format. At the same time he develop strategies to explore the relationship between the physical and the virtual. Berberg is interested in his own surroundings, with a focal point on architecture. Through an open approach he deconstructs thesesurroundings, which establish the basis for digital 3d-modeling, where the limitations of the 3d-software isallowed to create a visual footprint. These models will then be materialized, with an intention to create a compromise between the physical and the virtual.

Berberg has hold several solo exhibition around in Norway, among others at Telemark Kunstsenter (Skien), Lynx (Oslo), Elephant Kunsthall (Lillehammer), Noplace (Oslo), and latest at Palmera (Bergen)
