Belete, Wendimagegn

Wendimagegn Belete (born in Ethiopia) received his MFA in Contemporary Art from Tromsø Academy of Contemporary Art and Creative writing, University of Tromsø, Norway in 2017 and a BFA in Painting from ASFAD, Addis Abeba University in 2012. He is working across a variety of media including painting, video, photography, text and installation. He is also interested in appropriation and re-interpretation of archival material residues of the past, whether it be a book, maps, drawings, texts or signs that signify something from the past.
