Wold Skevik, Jan-eric

Water tanks, drawings, molten salt casting, water mirrors

I like to induce tension between materials to create a narrative. Often using straightforward materials like water, coal, salt or steel to discuss our relation with time and identity. Our need of seeing ourselves reflected into the universe bridges the gap between what is real and what is suggested. All in an attempt to understand what defines our self-identity.
