Kosugi, Daisuke

Film, video, sculpture, installation, performance

Daisuke Kosugi (1984, Tokyo) works with film, sculpture, performance and text. Kosugi constructs seductive scenarios that entail an underlying conflict, often involving his own life. His narratives guide audiences rhythmically through intimate experiences coupled with slight humor. He has worked with themes such as identities, creative labor and political emotions through his films, embodiment and communicability of pain with his sculptures.

Since August 2016 he has been running the artist-run initiative Louise Dany in Oslo together with Ina Hagen.
