Gunnufsen, Marte

Video, sound, installation, performance

Due to former education as a classical pianist, music and sound have a big importance in my work. I mainly work with time-based projects such as film, sound installations and musical performances. I use sound both as situation reinforcement and as an exclusively independent expression.

Thematically I focus on the potential friction that can arise between individual expression and the norms in our society. Individuals with different sexual orientation or approaches are often in my main focus, especially considering how sexual minorities stand outside many established communities.
