Grieg, Ellen

Textile

I works with an abstract form of expression in textile materials. In recent time thick, coloured ropes hanging freely in the space, has defines my expression.
Over time this has developed into a larger series of work called “Transformations”.
Patterns, colours, structures and materiality are continuous Foundations in my work. The abstract form of expression accentuates the materiality and at the same time creates an immediate, physical-visual experience of the work. The works are often shaped in colourful spirals hanging from the ceiling and dissolves increasingly towards the floor.
