Sculpture and jewellery
I create objects and installations that refer to body and identity, human consumption and globalization.
I work with assemblage and use the physical world as a turning point for the dissemination of history and activation of the collective memory. I use association as a form of communication. My work can be interpreted through historical and pop cultural references.
Through my own reading and interpretation of collected objects, I use theoretical material that I collect in parallel as a material in itself. I dive on through research and personal experiences. The investigative process extends in time and space, evolving through the meeting points of the new and the old. Like using traditional repairing and mending techniques to activate the mass produced. These techniques have been used all over the world for thousands of years and are now on the verge of being forgotten.
