Mixed media

As an artist and a political scientist my intention is to contribute to the discussion on important contemporary topics such as as humanism, human rights and democracy. I believe that there is a big potential for better knowledge and political awareness both for artists and audience. I do this by combining art, crossdiciplinary academic reflection and by involving the art audience in discussions and workshops.
Visually I experiment with different kinds of techniques and media.

Planned projects and exhibitions

PLANNED PROJECTS AND EXHIBITIONS

PAX is a project about refugees and Human rights. I want to look closer into what kind of responsibility we have towards each other in a world where human rights are challenged more and more every day. What is our responsibility as individuals, as a national state and as a global society
I want to investigate this theme from different angels. The project consists of 4 parts:
1. Exhibition of Visual art; encludes engraving of human rights in metal. Selection of human rights is based on reflections by people in interviews and worksshops.

2. Development and publishing of a book with adademic essays and interviews with refugees or people working with refugees.

3. A seminar/conference on the topic

4. Workshops on human rights; engagement of people in a dialog and reflection about human rights and responsibility through exhibitions and artworkshops.

The book har recieved financial support from both Fritt Ord and Art Coucil Norway
