Mitt arbeid tar som utgangspunkt både personlige erfaringer, daglige hendelser og politikk og teoretisk litteratur knyttet til nasjonal identitet, nasjonalisme og fremmedfrykt, globalisering og kunst-historie.
Mange av mine prosjekter er motivert av et ønske om å utfordre vår lesning av kulturelle symboler.
Jeg finner inspirasjon i samfunnsrelatert kunst, avantgardens kunsthistorie, og post-kolonial litteratur og teori.
Noen arbeider har en poetisk stemme, andre fungerer som “one-liners”.
Mitt arbeid blir realisert gjennom skulpturer, fotografier, installasjoner, bøker, videoer, lyd, malerier, tegning og tekst.
De pleier å ha en flyktig karakter. Noen prosjekter er knyttet til politisk aktivisme, benyttet av organisasjoner, eller publisert i bøker og magasiner.
