Eirik Senjes praksis involverer teknikker som maleri, skulptur, installasjon, tekst. I det siste har den dreid seg rundt spørsmål relatert til slike ting som ornamentering, tro, sentimentalitet, forholdet mellom det 20. århundres mislykkede kollektivistprosjekter og dagens tilstand både politisk og intellektuell, det intellektualiserte språkets kontrollillusjoner, kunst før og etter modernisme.
