My work branches out in two: I work with ceramic design and utilitarian ceramicware, but also with conceptual, political art in a variety of materials. After a period of two years where I have mainly worked conceptually, I have during the spring of 2017 returned to producing pottery and focusing on developing my technical skills.
My pottery carries both organic and industrial forms of expression; they are a mix of eastern and western contrasts. Sharp lines and forms combined with the use of irregular and diverse glazes characterizes my work. I am currently in a phase where I’m working on expanding my visual expressions through the use of several techniques: both handbuilding, throwing and slipcasting, and experimentations with new claytypes and glazes.
